Bespoke, custom handmade Golf shoes by http://www.adlershoes.com

The main and obvious drawback used to be the cost. Golf as a sport has broadened its participant base and has moved from a highly exclusive past time to a still up-market, but much more accessible sport of the upper middle classes. The differences today are mostly expressed by the kind of club one is a member of and its entrance as well as annual membership fee. Custom made Golf shoes as offered by companies the likes of “John Lobb” of London, charge you Sterling 3,000.00 for a pair and you will have to wait nearly a year for them. The only alternative for the avid, but not super-rich Golfer was to resort to plastic and rubber Footjoy’s  or Addidas Golf sneekers.
Not anymore, now, well since a few years already, there is a niche serving company called ADLER shoes on the market that has developed a whole new concept of bespoke, custom made shoes, including Golf shoes.

ADLER ships each customer who places an order a “casting set” which the customer can use him/her-self and create perfect molds of their feet. The system is not only very easy but also takes only a few minutes of the customer’s time. At its heart is a especially developed take by ADLER that is made of plastic and is very easy to wrap around one foot. It cures within 6 minutes or so, remains flexible and does not brake when handled. ADLER has moved way past the old gypsum casts of former days.

The customer sends the finished casts back to ADLER and they then produce an 100% accurate cast of the customers feet from which they can obviously make perfect lasts.

No shop outlets but 100% online, ADLER passes the savings on to the customers and is the only company offering bespoke, custom handmade Golf shoes for as little as US$ 590.00 or Sterling 390.00 with no extra charge for making the last. Thei website can be found at http://www.adlershoes.com  or for the UK at http://www.adlershoes.co.uk or if you are German speaking at http://www.adlershoes.de
The only drawback is that a full leather sole in Golf shoes needs a little more care and shoule be treated with some sole-oil now and again.

The shoe fashion this coming spring & summer of 2012

It seems Celebrities are showing the way to a more colorful shoe fashion for spring and summer 2012. May be it has something to do with an otherwise ever more gloomy outlook presented day after day by the media, reaching from a looming Euro collapse to ever more extreme weather.
To bring a bit of color into once life cannot be a bad thing, as long as it is done in style. Some celebrities like Robert Downey Jr. for example may have reached a little too far with wearing an acceptable suit with neon colored sneakers in baby blue and white. Those may possibly be a bit too much cheer for the eyes unless you happen to wear some really dark Gucci shades.
ADLER shoes, the Internet based custom footwear makers are bringing an old favorite back into the spotlight. The “Spectator” gentleman’s shoe in either Brogue or Oxford designs are two tone shoes that achieve the same effect, but do it in style.
Recently the TV drama “Boardwalk Empire” re-kindled the interest for this elegant shoe design that in the 20’s and 30’s became closely associated with famous gangsters like “Al Capone” and “Machine Gun Kelly”. Today, the Gentleman who cares for his appearance has a choice of a variety of bespoke “Spectator” shoes on ADLER’s website at http://www.adlershoes.com by choosing between the Brogue or Oxford models and a variety of leathers as well as color-combinations. He can choose between subtle color-mixes like for example, the Oxford Spectator in a polished dark brown combined with an unobtrusive dark brown suede or he can choose a more daring polished dark brown combined with tan suede. The stronger the contrast the more obvious becomes the “Spectator effect” until a black & white combo which of course represents the essence of the Spectator shoe but may not be for everyone.
At ADLER, style is combined with comfort since all shoes are custom made on your personal last. So, if you do want to make your shoe-life a bit more interesting this spring and summer, ADLER’s Spectator shoes could be your solution to do so and do it in style…..

Gain an inch or two with ADLER elevated shoes

you can of course have cosmetic surgery these day’s to increase your height. One inch often makes a big difference, makes a person feel more secure, more adequate. Surgery however should be the very last resort. It is a very painful procedure with a very long convalescence since they basically have to break your legs to add something.
ADLER custom elevator shoes are completely painless, a lot cheaper than surgery and no convalescence is required. If you wish to gain and inch or even two, we can do this by including an insert into your bespoke, custom handmade shoes. The insert is made of a lightweight material, similar to that used in prosthetics and does not reduce in volume over time.
We of course hide the elevation inside the shoes, making the outside look perfectly normal. The additional height of the shoes is virtually not visible when you are wearing them.
Since we can elevate any of our models (except pumps and Western boots) you do not have to wear shoes that look like they were made by some orthopedic cobbler, but our classic or stylish designer shoes.

The Opus

a designer loafer by John H. Adler
http://www.adlershoes.com

With the Opus I’m combining the comfort and easy style of a soft leather loafer with the more exclusive style of a Monk shoe. I find that this combination works great.
The two seams on the vamp transform even wide feet into slim, elegant shapes simply by visual effect. Using our soft Italian antique dyed leather lifts this unique loafer to a totally new level of style. A visual inspiration for this model was a shoe I saw in a Museum in France some time ago of a shoe for a Royal.

I trust this loafer will fit into any ensemble by the most famous designers, but also with the more traditional Savile Row style.

True bespoke, custom made shoes

many advertise, offering bespoke shoes on the internet, but if you look closer you will find that most offer nothing but mix & match shoes. Others offer handmade shoes “Goodyear welted” in which case the term “handmade” refers to a person holding the shoes while stitching them on a “Goodyear welting” machine which was invented by Mr. Goodyear to automate the production of welted shoes.
True, handmade, bespoke shoes are rarely found and if, they will cost anywhere from £ 2,000.00 up to   £5,000.00 for a pair and are only affordable by the very rich.
ADLER shoes has developed a totally new system and for the first time, truly bespoke, custom made shoes are available for the general public at prices starting from £ 290.00, not more than you would expect to pay for a decent pair of “off the rack” shoes at your better High Street shop.
ADLER has simply done away with all the expensive trimmings usually associated with high end shoe shops and ventured totally onto the internet. This major change alone reduced the cost factor by a massive percentage since no more personnel was needed to man an highly expensive shop location in New York or London’s high end city centers. This was only possible with the ADLER invention of a completely new measuring system which the customer can do him/herself at home instead of having to visit the shop to have someone do it for them. It is actually not a measuring system at all, but a casting tape to be wrapped around ones feet which retains a perfect cast of ones feet. This is send back to the ADLER offices by the customer. ADLER then proceeds and produces the customers last.
This new system is in fact far more accurate than any measurements taken by an assistant in a shop since the end result is a perfect cast of your feet with all “nooks and crannies”.
Another advantage ADLER has achieved with their new system is to be able to source the very best materials, like top quality Italian calf hide and establish production locations all over the world, where highly skilled craftsmen are more readily available than for example in London where the art of the cobbler is slowly dying out.
In all, the ADLER customer can expect perfectly fitting bespoke, custom made shoes or boots at prices that were until recently unthinkable. The selection of different models available on their website is also far greater than from any other bespoke cobbler and even greater than you would find at any otr shoe shop anywhere. Visit http://www,adlershoes.com and see for yourself…
